Hasami porcelain, located in Nagasaki Prefecture, is one of Japan's leading ceramic industrial areas, where ceramics have been the main craft industry for 400 years.
Hasami Porcelain is designed by Taku Shimoto. Each piece is characterized by aesthetically clean and modern lines while deeply rooted in traditional Japanese pottery design. Its primary appeal is not only in its form, but also its functional design for its ease of nesting for serving foods and its storage efficiency in areas with limited space. Mugs, bowls and trays from this collection are completely easy stacking.
Due to the handmade nature of each Hasami porcelain, there might be slight variations of each piece in color and shape, which also add the uniqueness and personality to the ceramic piece.
